During a hike with my dog, I ended up in Elten (D); in a little park, at some distance of World War II war graves I found a grave with my name on it.
The young policeman was killed a year before I was born. A search for the
story behind this grave resulted in the novel.

 available as hard cover edition

The Rhodesian Ridgeback at the grave of the young policeman. The not everyday life of a  teacher in history at a Breda lyceum. The teacher never travels by train, which is not a problem in itself, if he didn't meet with a beautiful regression therapist who is dying to help him.
The components: a study week with the fifth form in Berlin; a long summer holiday in the Landrover across France; sport climbing in the Belgian Ardennes; weekends at the Zeeland coast; in the autumn holidays, a walk on the Walk of Wisdom around Nijmegen with his  teacher colleague in biology and an unusual confrontation in a German border village; a study trip to Dresden with a high school class and an unclear situation in Wernhout in Brabant.
